Now in Siberia: Krasnoyarsk residents massively complain about mobile Internet disruptions for the third day in a row

Telecom operators say that the Internet problems are not on their side

Mobile Internet disruptions have persisted in Krasnoyarsk for several days. Since July 25, citizens have been complaining about the complete lack of access to mobile services. The problem has affected not only the city with a million-plus population, but also other cities in the Krasnoyarsk Territory — Norilsk, Zelenogorsk, Zheleznogorsk, Russian media write.

According to monitoring services, most complaints come from Tele2 (T2) users, but interruptions are also recorded among MTS, Beeline, Yota, T-Mobile and Megafon subscribers. Failures continue on July 27.

Telecom operators claim that their technical infrastructure is working stably. In comments and support chats, they report that the cause of the outages is security measures that do not depend on the companies.

Comments from telecom operators of the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Thus, representatives of Tele2 late in the evening on July 26 stated that "restrictions are due to security measures".

T-Mobile reported that the restrictions "do not depend on the operator", and the reason may be the same security measures.

The press service of T2 confirmed that the outages are not related to the operability of the networks.

In the Beeline support chat, the NGS24 correspondent was answered less definitely, indicating that the reason is "not related to the operation of the operator's equipment", and the recovery time is unknown.

Megafon also stressed that their network is functioning stably, and the difficulties are caused by external circumstances. It is noted that the Internet will already work in the near future.
