Строительство самого глубокого котлована для метротрама начали в Красноярске

Work at the "Kopylova" station started after passing the state expert review

Construction of the deepest demolition pit for the future metro tram has begun in Krasnoyarsk. Work is starting at the "Kopylova Street" station — the second on the first line of the subway. The project of the 48.7-meter deep section recently passed the state expert review.

Unlike other stations, "Kopylova" will be built using a closed method. It is here that the dismantling of three tunnel-boring complexes will be completed: two from the "Vokzalnaya" station and one from the "Vysotnaya" station. Construction is being carried out in difficult geological conditions — various types of soil are found at depth, from sandy loam to sandstone.

The "Mosproekt-3" company reported that the pit will be round, not rectangular, with the shaft barrel fastened with seven reinforced concrete belts. At the first stage, a monolithic fore-shaft will be poured around the perimeter of the future shaft. Then, holes deeper than 50 meters will be drilled for the retaining piles. After that, the soil will be developed in layers using clamshell buckets. A reinforced concrete tray for receiving TBMs will be placed at the bottom of the pit.

Under the contract with the Chinese company China Railway Construction, the 2.64 km long tunnel section from "Vysotnaya" to "Kopylova" will be prepared by a subsidiary of the corporation. The contract value is 4.37 billion rubles. The shield from the "Vysotnaya" side is expected to arrive at the construction site in September 2026.

The relocation of communications continues at the site, the territory has been prepared, and a construction camp has been set up. Work is also underway at other stations on the line: two TBMs are being installed in Revolution Square, and near-tunnel structures are being erected in the Constitution and Shakhtyorov districts.

The construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk began in 1995, but was frozen due to lack of funding. The project was resumed in 2021 in the format of a metro tram — a hybrid system of metro and tram. The first line will connect the southwest of the city with the center. The "Kopylova Street" station will be one of the deepest and most technically complex due to the peculiarities of the soil and the стыковки of three tunnels.
