For the First Time Since 2017, St. Petersburg Will Not Host the Navy Day Parade

The parade, fireworks, and procession of columns have been canceled

The main naval parade in St. Petersburg in 2025 has been canceled, according to the city's transport committee.

Festive events for Navy Day will not be held in the waters of St. Petersburg on July 27. The parade, fireworks, and procession of columns of watercraft, motorboats, sailboats, rowing boats, and jet skis have been canceled.

In 2024, the naval parade took place on July 28. Delegations from China, India, Algeria, Vietnam, Cuba, and South Africa participated. The tradition of holding a parade on Navy Day was reinstated by decree of the President of Russia in 2017.

In addition, the "Army-2025" forum has been postponed to a later date. The event, previously scheduled for August 11–14, will not take place on the planned dates. New dates have not yet been announced.
