The overlays of the angle of attack sensors of the right and left sides of the SSJ-100 aircraft that crashed in the Moscow region in 2024 were mixed up during maintenance, and they showed incorrect data, the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) reported.

The IAC concluded that the transition of the aircraft to descent was due to the "activation and simultaneous operation of the protection functions of the fly-by-wire control system for the angle of attack and maximum flight speed."

The angle of attack limitation function was activated due to reaching the value of the consolidated angle of attack of the boundary of the beginning of its operation, due to unreliable readings of the angles of attack of the two main air signal systems.
