The production time of the revived Tu-214 aircraft at the Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ, part of Tupolev JSC) has been repeatedly shifted "to the right", the local publication "Business Online" explained why.
Among the main reasons are the delay in the technical re-equipment of KAZ, the uneven purchase of components and materials, an acute shortage of labor and others.
On July 15, at a strategic session on the development of the aviation industry in Russia, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed those responsible to determine the timing of the release of aircraft. First of all, the Prime Minister recalled the Tu-214, produced in Tatarstan.
At the same time, 400 million rubles have already been allocated from the federal budget for the modernization of the Tu-214. The funds were redistributed after the suspension of the Russian-Chinese project.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a major general of aviation called unrealistic plans to build 100 MS-21 aircraft by 2030
