Россия инвестирует в небо: почти 265 млн рублей выделят на развитие беспилотников

Among the projects are the "Air Watch", "Locust" and "Citadel" systems

The competition commission of the Foundation for Supporting Projects of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) has summed up the results of the fourth selection among technology companies involved in the development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Five residents of scientific and production centers became winners and will receive grants to implement their projects.

The fourth selection of projects is aimed at introducing neural network technologies into drone control. 27 projects took part in it. Five of them, the most developed and technologically mature, will receive financial support. Such developments solve the issues of multi-environment. That is, they are able to work in the air, on land, and in water.
Vadim Medvedev,  Director of the NTI Fund

New developments are aimed at solving urgent tasks (rescuing victims, monitoring pollution and forest fires, conducting scientific research). Among the presented projects is the "Air Watch" system with artificial intelligence for monitoring and controlling drone flights, the "Citadel" system for searching for the enemy using neuroelectronics, the "Locust" system for swarm control of drones, and the "Varan" project for automated control of unmanned aerial vehicles. Initiatives are also provided for the symbiosis of neurotechnologies and UAS.

262.5 million rubles will be allocated for the implementation of these projects in 2025 and 2026. At the same time, the amount of private investment should be at least 10% or 30% of the allocated grant, depending on the direction of selection.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a fund to support startups in the field of robotics and UAVs will appear in Russia.
