Nornickel will allocate over 21 billion rubles for the development of the Dudinka seaport in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The port is planned to be modernized and its capacity expanded to increase cargo turnover to 5 million tons per year by 2030.
Nornickel will also allocate another 26 billion rubles for the development of the Krasnoyarsk and Lesosibirsk ports, as well as the Yenisei River Shipping Company. Of these, 10 billion rubles are earmarked for the construction of new barges. The company is thus strengthening infrastructure both on the Northern Sea Route and along the Yenisei.
Dudinka is the only port in the world that operates year-round in the Far North. It serves Nornickel's logistics, provides northern delivery and international transportation, receiving up to 4 million tons of cargo annually.
In total, investment projects worth over 12 trillion rubles are planned to be implemented in the Arctic zone of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the coming years, which will provide about 90 thousand new jobs.
