The Russian stationary multifunctional radar station (RLS) of circular review "Don-2N" is an "all-seeing monster". The development became an engineering feat, which demanded precise production, the use of modern materials and complex software to meet the requirements of modern anti-missile defense (AMD).
The National Interest (TNI) reminded that "Don-2N" is a key element in the defense of Moscow against ballistic missile threats.
The phased array radar is a critical component of the Russian A-135 anti-ballistic missile system.
The complex based on "Elbrus-2" provides complex calculations that allow analyzing the airspace and tracking several targets in it simultaneously, while the antenna complex scans the sky.
Also, the advantage of "Don-2N" is in the sensitivity of detecting air targets of the Russian radar in front of American systems, confirmed empirically.
