The fully import-substituted MC-21 aircraft with Russian systems is scheduled to take to the skies in August. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, at a meeting of the Committee of the Federation Council on Economic Policy.
The head of the department reminded that the MC-21 is already flying with domestic PD-14 engines.
The MC-21 is already flying as well. So, in August, we plan that it will take off, colleagues from the United Aircraft Corporation plan that the aircraft will take off already fully import-substituted — with all domestic systems.
The MC-21 is a new generation medium-range aircraft. The airliner was created on the basis of the latest developments, and it is focused on the most demanded segment of the passenger transportation market.
Earlier www1.ru reported that import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft have completed half of the certification program.
