The fully import-substituted MC-21 aircraft with Russian systems is scheduled to take to the skies in August. This was announced by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, at a meeting of the Committee of the Federation Council on Economic Policy.
The head of the department reminded that the MC-21 is already flying with domestic PD-14 engines.

The MC-21 is a new generation medium-range aircraft. The airliner was created based on the latest developments and is focused on the most demanded segment of the passenger transportation market.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft have completed half of the certification program.
