Russian soldiers have once again demonstrated remarkable ingenuity and unveiled a new, previously unseen combat vehicle. Footage has surfaced on social media.
This concerns a homemade armored evacuation vehicle based on the T-62 tank. The soldiers dismantled the turret and replaced it with a homemade cabin, covering the top with a wide visor featuring "dreadlocks" – thick metal cables.
The T-62 was adopted in 1961, and with a weight of 37 tons, it is considered a medium-weight tank. Initially, the tanks were equipped with V-shaped 12-cylinder diesel engines with a power of 580 hp.
Later, they were replaced with more powerful V-46-5M engines with a power of 690 hp, allowing them to accelerate up to 50 km/h on highways and up to 27 km/h on dirt roads.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that detailed footage of the Russian UMPC aerial bomb for the Su-34 and Su-57 has appeared.
