On Saturday, residents of Syktyvkar noticed a Tu-214 making circles in the sky above the city. The aircraft approached for landing several times, but repeatedly went for another round. In the end, the alarm turned out to be false; the plane had no intention of landing and was simply practicing a training flight.
According to the monitoring website Flightradar24.com, the aircraft arrived from Kazan. The crew practiced several circles over the airport and is currently safely returning to its point of departure.
Earlier, flight tests of the updated Russian aircraft also took place on April 4. Over the past three and a half years, the aircraft RA-64535 has been the first new Tu-214 to take to the air.
An additional 400 million rubles will be allocated for the modernization of the Tu-214 passenger aircraft, which are being built at the Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ). The funds will be directed from unused money that was previously invested in the authorized capital of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
Earlier, www1.ru reported that features of the Russian Su-34 and Su-24 were noticed in the first image of the unique 6th-generation J-36 fighter.
