Zala's Lancet loitering munitions will be adapted to engage small, high-speed naval targets, such as unmanned boats (BECs), according to Alexander Stepanov, a military expert at the Institute of Law and National Security of the RANEPA.
According to him, this indicates an increase in accuracy and the possible introduction of artificial intelligence algorithms for correction during target tracking and engagement.
«Ланцеты», which were previously primarily used to engage armored vehicles, are now being adapted to destroy naval targets, including high-speed and fairly compact ones, such as BECs.
The Lancet is also used with the support of aerial reconnaissance, which provides effective monitoring of the Black Sea area and other priority zones.
