Сразу 2G, 4G и 5G: ИРТЕЯ представила универсальную платформу для базовых станций с технологией Single RAN

New Base Station Software Supports Extended Ranges and Reduces Operator Costs

At the CIPR-2024 conference, telecommunications developer IRTEA presented new products for network modernization. A key focus is expanding LTE range support.

In addition to the already operating 800 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies, equipment is now available for the 2100 MHz band (Band 1), which operators are actively transitioning from 3G to 4G. Solutions for the 2600 MHz (B7) and 900 MHz (B8) bands with increased power up to 80 W per channel are also being demonstrated.

An important achievement is the introduction of Carrier Aggregation. IRTEA demonstrated the combination of channels in the 2100 MHz and 800 MHz bands, which increases data transfer rates in LTE networks to over 100 Mbit/s.

In parallel, the vendor added support for the GSM (2G) standard, testing compatibility on the legendary Nokia 3310 phone. For the development of 5G, a pilot zone has been deployed with a record speed of over 1 Gbit/s.

IRTEA has created a universal Single RAN platform where 2G, 4G, and 5G operate simultaneously on the same equipment. This reduces operator costs (CAPEX/OPEX) and simplifies the transition between technologies. All functions, including new ranges, are available for already installed base stations via software updates thanks to the OpenRAN architecture. Today, 214 IRTEA stations are successfully operating in the MTS network in 37 regions, confirming the viability of the solutions.
