"Rocketbank" is preparing to return to the market after a four-year hiatus. The project will officially resume operations in July 2025. It will operate under the license of "Sovcombank", and the relaunch will be handled by Robert Sabiryanov and Anton Zakharov - former top managers of "Modulbank" and co-founders of the fintech "Blank".
The first users will be able to start testing the new application in June. A full launch is planned in Moscow and St. Petersburg next month. The updated "Rocketbank" will offer debit and credit cards, deposits and savings accounts, cash loans, a non-standard loyalty system with gamification elements, as well as lifestyle services - restaurants, shopping and other partner offers.
The creators promise to preserve the main philosophy of the old "Rocketbank" - "human" and friendly communication with customers.
The bank appeared in 2012 and quickly gained popularity thanks to its convenient application and informal tone of communication. In 2016, it was bought by "Otkritie", but after rehabilitation, the brand passed to Qiwi, which shut down the project in 2020, and in January 2021, "Rocketbank" officially closed.
In the fall of 2024, it became known that "Sovcombank" had acquired the fintech startup from Qiwi and plans to revive it. At the same time, "Qiwi Bank" had its license revoked and the liquidation process began.
