The "Prometheus" software and hardware complex designed for the automation of armored vehicles has been tested at the Ministry of Defense training grounds and received positive feedback from specialists. The tests were conducted on the basis of a serial infantry fighting vehicle BMP-3.
During the testing, the system confirmed all the key technical characteristics and functionality of the complex. Now "Prometheus" is preparing for the stage of state tests.
The complex is designed for remote control of armored vehicles and can be installed on any serial models of military and civilian equipment.
It allows you to quickly switch between crewed and remote control modes, while maintaining the functionality of the crew members' workplaces and ergonomics.
The BMP-3 is designed to provide fire support and transport soldiers. The vehicle accommodates three crew members and seven paratroopers. The BMP-3's arsenal includes a 30-mm automatic cannon, a 2A70 100-mm gun-launcher and three machine guns. At the same time, experts note that all the advantages of the machine are negated by too weak armor.
Earlier www1.ru reported that footage of an export Su-34 fighter-bomber in unusual camouflage has appeared.
