Импортозамещение в IT: Tantor XData 2B на отечественном процессоре Baikal-S поможет обеспечить цифровой суверенитет

Tantor Labs has introduced a new solution for high-load systems in finance, the public sector, and industry

Tantor Labs (part of the Astra Group) has introduced the first serial database machine (DBM) Tantor XData 2B on the Russian Baikal-S processor. The solution is designed for industries where data processing speed, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements are critical — finance, government agencies, telecommunications, retail, and industry.

The development and production of Baikal-S processors under sanctions have become a challenge that we have transformed into an opportunity. Their use in Tantor XData 2B proves that Russian microelectronics not only continues to develop but also creates the basis for completely independent enterprise-level solutions.
Andrey Evdokimov, CEO of Baikal Electronics

DBM Tantor XData 2B is an optimized hardware and software complex built on Elpitech servers with Baikal-S processors (48 cores ARM Cortex A75, frequency up to 2.5 GHz). The system supports up to 768 GB DDR4-3200, high-speed networks up to 100 Gbps, and triple hardware and software data compression.

The software part is based on the Tantor Postgres DBMS with the ability to scale without stopping work. In the minimum configuration, the system processes 60,000 transactions per second and creates backups at a speed of 35 TB/hour.

Key features of Tantor XData 2B:

  • Full hardware and software independence — all key components are included in the registers of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Digital Development.
  • Deployment flexibility — from minimal to enterprise configuration.
  • Unified software for different platforms (x86, ARM64), simplifying maintenance.
Expanding the Tantor XData DBM line with a model on the domestic Baikal-S processor is a natural step in implementing our strategy. Business and the state need technologies that work "out of the box" without compromising between speed and reliability. The product we have created clearly and convincingly proves that the Russian database machine is already ready today to serve as the basis for critical high-load systems.
Vadim Yatsenko, CEO of Tantor Labs and XData

The DBM has a graphical interface and also provides the ability to work through the command line or API. The product is available in various ready-to-use options: from minimal to enterprise.
