Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, part of the "Kalashnikov" concern, has presented an updated version of the MR-555KS pneumatic rifle in the 04 configuration. The new modification is equipped with a wooden stock and a redesigned receiver, the shape of which is protected by patents. The changes are aimed at increasing versatility and ease of use, as well as giving the rifle a more professional appearance.
One of the key differences of the new model is the updated barrel coupling with a cylinder, allowing the installation of a wide range of sighting devices. The rifle is equipped with both a Picatinny rail and a classic "dovetail rail", which gives the user access to various types of optics and accessories. Improved breech seal also contributes to more accurate shooting.
The МР-555КС-04 is equipped with a built-in high-pressure cylinder with a side filling port, which makes operation easier and more comfortable. Despite the modest muzzle energy (up to 3 J), the rifle externally resembles a full-size firearm. It uses 4.5 mm caliber pellets, loaded into a detachable five-round magazine. When fully charged (200 atmospheres), the cylinder allows up to 250 shots.
The pellet velocity is 110 m/s, the rifle weighs 2.7 kg, and its dimensions are 1000×210×75 mm. The new product is aimed at a wide range of users, including recreational shooting enthusiasts and those who use pneumatics for training purposes.
