Искусственный интеллект не может заменить следователя на допросе, считает глава СКР Бастрыкин

The investigation requires personal participation of a human and interdepartmental coordination

Artificial intelligence will not be able to replace an investigator during interrogations and work at the scene. This was announced on May 21 by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, in an interview with TASS at the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.

According to Bastrykin, the profession of an investigator requires personal qualities that only a human can possess.

It is difficult to imagine that artificial intelligence will be able to interrogate a person, assess, among other things, the non-verbal reactions of the person being interrogated, and adjust the course of the investigation in the right direction.

Bastrykin also stated that AI will not be able to inspect the scene, analyze data in a complex manner, and coordinate actions with other departments. All this, according to him, is possible only with human participation.

He noted that the interest in technology is justified - works of art are already being created with the help of AI. However, the head of the Investigative Committee emphasized that in investigations involving the fate of people, artificial intelligence is permissible only under strict human control.
