Опрос показал, что большинство россиян устанавливают непроверенные приложения из Сети

In March, over 200,000 Android devices in Russia were infected with malware

Companies F6 and RuStore conducted a poll showing that 78% of Russians have deleted apps from their smartphones due to concerns about their security. More than half of respondents — 53%, have installed programs from unverified sources at least once.

Information security experts emphasize that such programs create serious risks for devices, as they can be infected with viruses like CraxsRAT, NFCGate, or any others that are used to steal funds from accounts.

The head of the financial fraud prevention department at F6, Dmitry Ermakov, recalled that Trojans give cybercriminals access to device control. According to F6 data, in March 2025, there were about 200,000 compromised Android gadgets with malware disguised as useful applications in Russia.

The study showed that 90% of users avoid suspicious links, 84% use different passwords for different services, and 70% have enabled two-factor authentication. Nevertheless, 10% of respondents still do not know about the possibility of two-factor authentication.

To improve security, 47% of users prefer to install applications only from trusted stores, 16% check devices with antiviruses, and 10% do not take any precautions. The study covered 3,200 people and was conducted with the help of HiTech Mail.
