Modernized "Chernika-2" strike drones have been developed for the Russian military. A distinctive feature of the kamikaze drones is the target homing system.

It allows drones to independently hit the target even when the video channel and control signal are lost. In addition, the structural strength was increased for resistance to overloads.

The declared warhead of 2.5 to 3.5 kg allows "Chernika-2" to hit personnel, communication towers, light equipment, and surveillance cameras. Drones in the "flying wing" format are capable of accelerating up to 60 km/h; in the reconnaissance version, the battery power is sufficient for up to two hours of flight.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia has begun testing the latest satellite communication system for UAVs.
