Rosatom specialists have concreted the second tier of the internal protective shell (IPS) of the reactor building at Unit 2 of the El Dabaa NPP, the state corporation's press service reported.
The work lasted for 24 hours without interruption and involved 100 people.
The reactor building of the second power unit is confidently approaching the implementation of one of the key events of 2025 - the completion of concreting of the second tier of the IPS, which is scheduled for May this year. The work is being carried out confidently and rhythmically on the site, the key to which is fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian customer and the high professionalism of our colleagues from contracting organizations.
According to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Nuclear Power Plants Authority (NPPA), Dr. Sharif Helmy Mahmoud, the work carried out has become a new achievement in the construction of the Egyptian NPP. The work was carried out by specialists from the Nuclear Power Plants Authority of Egypt and the general contractor — Atomstroyexport JSC.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the reactor vessel at the first unit of the El Dabaa NPP will be installed in November 2025.
