Ростех: Дирижабли смогут обеспечить до 30% грузоперевозок в Арктике

управляемые аэростаты поднимают до 200 тонн негабаритного груза

Airships may become a popular means of delivering goods to the Arctic, Rostec believes. This was stated by Mikhail Kalinin, General Director of the Dolgoprudny Design Bureau of Automation (DKBA, part of Roselectronica).

Airships, thanks to their ability to operate without runways and cope with the transportation of oversized cargo over long distances, can become one of the key elements of Arctic logistics.
Mikhail Kalinin, General Director of DKBA

The operation of управляемые аэростаты requires less costs compared to airplanes or helicopters, which makes them an economically viable type of cargo transport, Kalinin added.

Cargo airships can lift from 30 to 200 tons of oversized cargo and transport it over distances of up to 3,000 km. According to Rostec's estimates, управляемые аэростаты can occupy up to 30% of the cargo flow in the Arctic.
