An all-wheel drive ambulance has appeared in the Gazelle NN line. This vehicle has an H3L2 body and a high roof, which allows you to stand upright in the cabin. At the same time, the car has a standard wheelbase of 3145 mm, like ordinary Gazelles. But thanks to the single-tire design, the wheel arches do not limit the width of the passage, which facilitates the movement of medical personnel.
Engineers of the Gorky Automobile Plant, together with medical specialists from the A. S. Puchkov Ambulance and Emergency Medical Care Station, have created an innovative interior for the new ambulance.
During the development of the project, great importance was attached to ensuring that medical equipment was conveniently located and did not create inconvenience for doctors. All furniture in medical facilities is made of metal-plastic - a lightweight, durable and easy-to-use material.
The all-wheel drive system is similar to that used in the serial Sobol NN 4x4 car. It includes a rigid connection mechanism, a downshift gear and a rear wheel differential lock.
The novelty is based on a 2.5-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 149 horsepower and a torque of 330 Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The car is currently undergoing testing at the factory and certification.
Earlier it became known that Russia plans to produce special vehicles based on old Toyota models. An agreement on the construction of a new plant was signed at the Russian-Chinese Automotive Forum "Manage the Future", which was held in Moscow.
