UAC expects MC-21 flight tests with domestic engines to begin on time

The aircraft will have PD-14 engines, according to the corporation's CEO Vadim Badeha

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec) expects the flight tests of the MC-21 with domestic PD-14 engines to begin soon. This was announced by the CEO of UAC, Vadim Badeha.

The Superjet has started flight tests with the domestic PD-8 engine. And the situation is approximately the same with the MC-21 program. We expect the start of flight tests in the very near future.

According to him, the ground tests of the SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft, equipped with Russian components, are being completed, and we will begin flight operations in the very near future.
