In February, changes occurred in the top 10 most popular brands in the used car market. Compared to last year, sales increased only for Lada (+4.3%).
Among the models, the Lada 2190 Granta sedan showed the most significant growth. In February 2024, its sales increased by 10.9% compared to the previous month.
According to Andrey Grishakov, Director of the Used Car Department at AVTODOM Group and AutoSpecCenter Group, the increase in demand for Lada cars is solely due to the affordable price of popular models, as well as the low cost of maintenance, availability of spare parts, and the ability to perform repairs independently.
Lada brand cars, and especially the Granta model, showed sales growth in the secondary market in February 2025, despite the possibility of purchasing new cars of this brand, primarily due to more affordable prices.
In addition, the maintenance and repair of Lada cars are cheaper than most used foreign cars, which makes them more attractive when choosing a used car.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ confirmed that dealers have the right to install additional equipment on Lada cars. This, of course, affects the final cost of the car. However, customers can choose a car in the factory configuration, without any options.
