The second Il-114-300 aircraft assembled at the Lukhovitsky Aviation Plant (LAZ) took to the sky on Monday, March 31, Rostec reported.
The aircraft was accompanied in the sky by the first Il-114-300 — bort "0110". The flight lasted 30 minutes, all systems and equipment worked without failures. The flight program was completed in full.
Connecting another new machine to flight tests will speed up the certification process and start delivering the aircraft to customers. The Il-114-300 will help improve the transport connectivity of Russian regions. It will be able to fly even in difficult climatic conditions, from airfields with concrete or unpaved runways. This will make it indispensable on local routes.

The cockpit has become more ergonomic and is equipped with a new digital flight and navigation system.
