Units of T-80BVM "flying" tanks on the line of combat contact (LBS) have begun to work as artillery. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
The crew, using the folds of the terrain, arrive at a pre-prepared firing position, quickly aim the combat vehicle at the target, and then successfully destroy targets at a range of up to 8 km with rapid fire of 125-mm high-explosive fragmentation shells.
Working as an artillery gun, tank crews support the actions of advanced groups, restraining the enemy in maneuver, and also prevent them from returning fire.
The firing is carried out along a hinged trajectory with constant fire adjustment by drone reconnaissance operators conducting aerial reconnaissance in the area where the target is located.
