Росатом займется софтом: госкорпорация купила 49% акций компании «Топ Системы», занимающейся ПО

The State Corporation became a co-owner of the engineering software developer

The State Corporation Rosatom has acquired 49% of the shares of Top Systems, a company specializing in the creation of engineering software.

The deal, which includes an option to further buy out the stake, is aimed at strengthening the digitalization of the industrial sector. The partnership will allow integrating the vendor's developments — computer-aided design (CAD) systems and product lifecycle management (PLM) platforms — into the IT solutions ecosystem of the atomic corporation.

Top Systems, founded in 1992, is among the leaders in the industrial software market. Their products are used in aircraft construction, automotive industry, and the rocket and space industry. Key projects include the implementation of a unified information environment at AvtoVAZ and Roscosmos enterprises with a budget of up to 3.1 billion rubles. The company's revenue for 2023 amounted to 1.6 billion rubles with a net profit of 660 million rubles.

Experts see the deal as a strategic move. According to analysts at Strategy Partners, the Russian market for engineering software will grow 2.7 times by 2030, reaching 69 billion rubles. The dominant segment — CAD (48% of the market) — demonstrates annual growth of 16%. The integration of Top Systems into the structure of Rosatom will allow unifying disparate IT solutions. As noted by Mikhail Viktorov, President of NOTIM, the State Corporation can become a system integrator, uniting 300 domestic developments for industry.

The synergy will affect joint projects in mechanical engineering, aviation, and space industries. The partnership provides for the modernization of the functionality of existing products and the creation of new solutions. Industry representatives emphasize that such alliances accelerate import substitution, which is critical in the context of sanctions.

Localization of engineering software reduces dependence on foreign platforms, ensuring technological sovereignty. The implementation of PLM systems optimizes production cycles, reducing product development time by 15–20%.

For Rosatom, integration with Top Systems means strengthening competencies in digital modeling, which is relevant for projects in the field of nuclear energy and hydrogen technologies.
