At the automobile plant of PJSC "KamAZ", the modernization of the assembly line for the new generation K5 truck cabs is in full swing. Production has not been stopped. This is reported on the official website of the company.
The first stage of the project, designed to produce 35 thousand cabs per year, should be launched at the end of July. The second aims to assemble up to 60 thousand cabs per year. The completion date for these works is March 2026.
The plant also plans to expand the range, including the production of new models of K5 generation vehicles, as well as to master the production of semi-trailer tractors, dump trucks and medium-duty trucks designed for the installation of various special superstructures.
Also in the future, the unit production will be significantly transformed. Ergonomic workplaces will be organized here, the manufacture of parts and assembly of units will be carried out on high-tech equipment, using robotic complexes.
