Specialists of SKB-1 (part of the Kinгисеппский машиностроительный завод, KMZ) have started designing a boat with the function of a boom layer "Kasatka-BP". Such boats will be equipped with supply vessels of ice class Arc4 of project 22430. This was reported by the press service of the holding.
«Касатка-БП» is designed for 8 people. The boat is designed for the deployment of boom barriers during the localization and elimination of accidental oil and petroleum product spills.
The architectural and structural type is a closed single-hull single-deck vessel with a central location of the wheelhouse, a bow location of the cabin, a stern engine compartment and a fender bar.
«Касатку-БП» will be launched from the mother ship using a special single-point disconnecting device mounted on the power mast.
About project 22430
Project 22430 was developed by JSC "Central Design Bureau "Lazurit". This is a shallow-draft ice-class Arc4 supply vessel.
