The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) is creating a line of domestic aircraft engines that will cover the needs of aircraft manufacturers in all segments and are designed to ensure Russia's technological independence. The state corporation presented the company's entire product line.
In particular, the PD-35 ultra-high thrust engine currently being developed is intended for wide-body long-range passenger airliners. Gas turbine engines in the 35-ton thrust class have not been previously created in Russia.
PD-35 is the largest in the line of the newest domestic aircraft engines. For example, the diameter of its fan is more than three meters - almost two human heights.
Rostec also showed power plants for SJ-100 and MC-21 liners, Il-14, Ka-62, Mi-26, Mi-38, Mi-17A2, Ka-226T and "Ansat" helicopters
