The Kalashnikov concern will present for the first time abroad civilian versions of the Goliath-R and Karakurt-R vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as the Quasimachta equipment lifting system (SPA). The drones will be shown at the international arms exhibition IDEX 2025, which will be held in Abu Dhabi (UAE) from February 17 to 21, 2025.
The Goliath and Karakurt complexes are designed for aerial reconnaissance at any time of the day with real-time 3D data acquisition, target acquisition and tracking by operator command.
If the signal is lost, the drones turn around and fly to the base until stable communication is restored. The copters have a robust design and a high level of protection against external influences, which makes their operation reliable in almost any meteorological environment.
Due to their small size, Goliath and Karakurt can be successfully used in dense urban environments of modern megacities. Drones are effective in preventing terrorist threats, conducting search and rescue and operational search activities. The Karakurt mini-UAV fits in a pocket and can be launched from a container in seconds.
The Quasimachta SPA is designed for long-term operation of radio-electronic equipment (payload) on a highly elevated flight platform, which is a copter-type UAV.
Quasimachta provides round-the-clock video surveillance in the optical and infrared ranges with the ability to transmit information to ground terminals in real time. In the event of a power outage from a ground source, the UAV performs a safe landing.
