The Indian Ministry of Defense stated that they expect the delivery of the fourth Russian-made S-400 "Triumph" anti-aircraft missile system by the end of 2025. This was reported by Bulgarian Military.
The last (fifth complex) is expected to arrive in India in 2026.
India and Russia signed a contract in 2018 for the supply of five S-400 SAM systems for $5.43 billion. New Delhi believes that air defense systems will strengthen the country's defense capabilities.
About the S-400 "Triumph" SAM system
Rosoboronexport stated that the multi-channel SAM system has a long range and altitude for engaging aerial targets, as well as mobility and survivability. The system is suitable for destroying all types of aerodynamic targets and ballistic missiles with a launch range of up to 3500 km. The S-400 is equipped with 48N6E3 (48N6E2), 40N6E, 9M96E2 missiles.
