Moscow Transport Museum continues restoration of rare vehicles: BF model trams are next

Other exhibits include Leyland buses, RAF-22031 ambulance, and the legendary Volga and Pobeda cars.

The Moscow Transport Museum plans to complete the restoration of 25 exhibits and 12 artifacts this year. Most of them will be included in the permanent exhibition in the garage of engineer Konstantin Melnikov on Novoryazanskaya Street.

The restoration program includes vehicles significant to the history of the capital – Leyland and Ikarus 280 buses, RAF-22031 "Ambulance", GAZ-21T "Volga" and ZIM (GAZ-12) cars, BF, F and MTV-82 tram cars, as well as a SVARZ crane platform and V and G metro cars.

At the same time, specialists are restoring a GAZ-51P truck and passenger cars ZAZ-966VB2 "Zaporozhets", Moskvich-423N and GAZ M-20A "Pobeda", which will appear in the museum's exhibition projects after restoration.

The Ministry of Transport of Moscow reported that the large-scale restoration program will continue. This year, it is planned to carry out repair and restoration work on 42 samples of rare equipment.
