The United Engine Corporation (UEC) is implementing a Russian standard for the development of digital twins of aviation gas turbine engines. Its use will reduce the development time of power plants and their modifications.
The digital model virtually reproduces the operation of all engine systems and helps determine the effectiveness of design solutions. Now the "twin" is used to assess the impact of deviations that occur during production on the operation of the power unit.
The digital twin technology is used at the Moscow-based "Salyut" enterprise to create a modification of the АИ-222-25 aircraft engine.
The national standard was developed with the participation of specialists from the Central Institute of Aviation Motor Engineering named after P.I. Baranov (Moscow).
