The TВС-2МС aircraft successfully passed flight tests at the Beryozkino airfield in Tomsk. The test program included six flights, which lasted about 9 hours. This was reported by the press service of the manufacturer "Rusaviaprom".
The tests were carried out on an aircraft without cargo, with a take-off weight of about 4000 kg. TВС-2МС demonstrated excellent stability, maneuverability and controllability in various operating modes.
It steadily performs turns with a bank angle of up to 60 degrees in both directions. When accelerating to the maximum speed of 300 km/h according to the AFM, the aircraft is stable, there are no vibrations along the fuselage, and there are no broken braces.
During the tests, the average fuel consumption (aviation kerosene ТС-1) was 170 kg/hour. The take-off run of the TВС-2МС during take-off is about 100 meters, the landing run distance is from 120 to 130 meters. The rate of climb of the aircraft when climbing to a height of three thousand meters is 7 minutes.
Landings were performed on a snowy runway with a low coefficient of friction, but the brakes in combination with the engine reverse provide a stable stop on the runway after landing within the above distance.
TВС-2МС is a project to modernize the An-2 aircraft. The aircraft is equipped with a modern turboprop engine and is planned to be used for aviation tasks and passenger transportation.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that a new aircraft fire extinguishing system for the TВС-2МС has begun testing in Novosibirsk.
