In 2024, three new Volga car models were registered in Russia — K30, K40 and S40. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Russian Automobile".
All three cars are registered in Nizhny Novgorod. The new "Volgas" are re-badged Changan cars that were presented last spring.
The paradox is that these "Volgas" do not and cannot have a Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS), and when оформляя Свидетельство о безопасности транспортного средства (СБКТС, the applicant does not have the right to rename the car. How these cars were registered specifically as "Volgas", and not Changan, is a mystery.
Production of these models was planned to be launched before the end of 2024. However, at the moment, the assembly of cars has not yet begun, which raises questions about the timing of the project.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the new "Volgas" have not entered the market.
