The Yakovlev Corporation will expand the capacity of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant (IAP), where MS-21 civilian airliners, Su-30 combat aircraft, and Yak-130s are assembled. The corresponding construction permit was issued by the Irkutsk administration.
Yakovlev was authorized to build the second stage of the logistics center. The total building area will exceed 1.2 hectares, and up to 200 people per shift will be able to work at the new facility.
The documents were issued in October 2025 and are valid until April 2029.
The corporation also plans to reconstruct several workshops at the plant. The documents mention work in building No. 1, where assembly is underway under the MS-21 program, and in the electroplating department of workshop No. 48. The project permits are valid until 2027–2028.
A few days ago, a modern high-tech treatment complex was put into operation at the IAP site. It meets all Russian and international environmental standards.
