A batch of new tank support fighting vehicles BMPT «Terminator» entered service with the tank formation of the Central Military District (CMD) in 2024. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The received samples of new military equipment made it possible to form another штатное подразделение, equipped with «Terminators», and also significantly increase the firepower of the tank formation of the Central Military District.
The first штатная рота BMPT «Terminator» was formed in the Central Military District on December 1, 2021. The vehicles are successfully used in combat missions.
BMPT «Terminator» is a multi-purpose combat tracked fire support vehicle with powerful weapons, modern fire control devices and high maneuverability. The vehicle is capable of engaging lightly armored targets, infantry fighting vehicles and tanks, and fighting enemy helicopters and low-flying low-speed aircraft.
Rostec noted that one «Terminator» vehicle during an attack can replace a whole motorized rifle squad.
