Since last year, the Reshetnev Company has started production of elements of the target equipment for the new communication and broadcasting spacecraft. Read more in detail.
The Yamal-501 telecommunications satellite is being developed by order of Gazprom Space Systems JSC and will provide communication and broadcasting services in the Ku-band on the territory of Russia. The satellite's active lifespan will be 15 years.
The device is based on the universal Express-1000 platform. Its payload is being developed by Zheleznogorsk satellite builders using domestic components.
Currently, the Reshetnev Company continues to manufacture elements of passive transponder equipment to perform the target functions of the spacecraft.
As a reminder, the development of the Yamal-502 geostationary communication satellite may be completed by the spring of 2030.
