«Буханка» без сквозных щелей: УАЗ улучшил технологию производства кузова для модели СГР

New stamping tooling will eliminate uneven gaps and assembly defects

Specialists from "UAZ-Tekhinstrument," owned by UAZ, have carried out a large-scale update of the stamping tooling for the production of body parts for the SGR ("Loaf") model.

90% of all tool parts were replaced. The remaining 10% were repaired and restored. This modernization not only extended the service life of the dies, but also improved the accuracy of the mating of body elements - this will eliminate such well-known problems as uneven gaps, through slots and other defects.

Deficiencies in body quality were the main complaints of "Loaf" owners. Now, the updated production process will provide a new level of assembly, which will significantly increase the overall level of owner satisfaction.

In the near future, the legendary model will undergo re-certification and receive a new Vehicle Type Approval (OTTS). According to the plans, the document will record an engine of the "Euro-5" environmental class, with a capacity of 112.2 hp and 213 Nm of torque. This is 15 Nm more than the previous version of the "Euro-2" engine, which will make the model not only more environmentally friendly, but also more productive.
