VK has выделен VK Video as a separate project in its Bug Bounty program. Security researchers will be able to receive up to 2.4 million rubles for detecting critical vulnerabilities.
The new project will be available on the Standoff Bug Bounty, BI.ZONE Bug Bounty, and BugBounty.ru platforms. The program includes web and mobile versions of the service for iOS, Android, and smart TVs.
The company noted that the launch of a separate program is due to the growing popularity of VK Video. In the third quarter of 2024, the daily number of views increased by 48.5%, reaching 2.6 billion, and the total viewing time increased by 265% compared to the same period in 2023.
The Bounty Pass mechanism applies to the project: researchers receive additional payments through a cumulative bonus for finding more vulnerabilities.
