During the 11 months of 2024, 967.4 thousand units of automotive equipment were produced at Russian automobile plants. This figure is 31% higher than the level of the same period last year.
All categories of vehicles demonstrated an increase in production, but the growth is especially noticeable in the passenger car segment — 37%.
Over 11 months, 720.5 thousand units were produced in Russia.
In the period from January to November 2024, 133.9 thousand light commercial vehicles were produced in Russia, which is 19% more than in the same period last year. Also, domestic plants produced 98.9 thousand trucks, which is 12% more than last year, and 14.1 thousand buses, which is 18% more.
Earlier in Russia, a new use was found for the Nissan plant — now it will produce Lada cars. The launch is scheduled for August-September 2025. By this time, the production of Chery cars is likely to be completed naturally.
