Rosoboronexport has offered India an agreement to produce advanced Su-35 fighters. This happened after India became interested in the production of Swedish Gripen fighters, Bulgarian Military writes.
India's need for advanced technologies and reliable defense manufacturing partnerships is obvious. Russia's proposal could give India a distinct advantage, allowing it to assemble Su-35s with powerful AL-41F engines on its territory.
According to Bulgarian Military, the Su-35 multirole fighter is an "engineering marvel" based on the Su-27. The aircraft is maneuverable, reaches speeds of up to Mach 2.25, and can fly 2,200 miles (3,500 km) without refueling.
The Irbis-E radar allows the Su-35 pilot to detect targets at a distance of up to 250 miles (over 400 km) and track multiple targets simultaneously. This radar system gives the Su-35 an advantage in beyond-visual-range combat.
