Vulnerabilities and Backdoors: Bulgarian Military Declares Su-57 Unreliable Due to Chinese Components

Western sanctions have negatively affected the implementation of the Su-57 project

Western sanctions against Russia have seriously affected the production of Su-57 fighters, limiting the country's access to critical components. As a result, Russia has had to purchase some components in China, writes Bulgarian Military.

Sanctions have affected the supply of components such as PLR7 60-12 and EA-PS 3150, which are important for the navigation and communication systems of the Su-57. As a result, Russia is forced to seek replacements from alternative suppliers, such as China. This has led to increased costs and production delays.

Russia is trying to circumvent sanctions by purchasing components through smuggling. However, this complicates the modernization of aircraft, making them unreliable.

The integration of Chinese components into the Su-57 carries potential risks. These technologies are not of the same quality and durability as Western ones. In addition, navigation modules and communication systems manufactured in China may contain hidden vulnerabilities or backdoors. Hackers can use them for espionage or cyberattacks.
