Musical markings have appeared for the first time on the 653 km of the M-11 Neva high-speed highway in Russia — transverse noise strips that reproduce a fragment of the composition "Kalinka-Malinka" when a car is moving at the permitted speed. This experiment was presented by the Chairman of the Board of GC Avtodor Vyacheslav Petushenko at the Road 2024 exhibition.
The musical markings were created by specialists from Avtodor-Engineering using software that allows you to accurately calculate the parameters for applying the marking lines in such a way that when driving over them at the set speed, a musical effect is created. This innovation helps not only to entertain drivers, but also to improve safety, encouraging drivers to concentrate on the road and observe the speed limit.
The project is aimed at achieving the goal set by the President of Russia to reduce mortality on the roads by 1.5 times by 2030 and by 2 times by 2036. Musical markings, like ordinary noise strips, warn drivers and help prevent accidents, especially in dangerous sections of roads.
