In August 2024, Wildberries implemented a new monitoring system aimed at combating fake orders and the purchase of товарных запасов from sellers. According to the company's press service, more than 94,000 fake orders were prevented during the first month of the system's operation. This allowed 418 sellers to keep their goods available to real buyers.
The system also helps detect suspicious activity using artificial intelligence, which speeds up the identification of fraudulent schemes. In addition, Wildberries effectively combats fake reviews: the moderation system automatically blocks attempts to manipulate ratings and removes dubious reviews.
Over the past year, the company has uncovered more than 100 fraudulent schemes at order pick-up points and has passed the information on to law enforcement agencies.
