В ЦАГИ создали стенд «Консоль крыла» для самолетов региональной авиации

The work is being carried out as part of the scientific and technical project "Integral-RS"

Employees of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute (TsAGI) named after Zhukovsky (Moscow region) conducted another stage of testing within the framework of the complex scientific and technical project "Integral-RS" to create the appearance of a regional aviation aircraft with energy flow control (EFC) technology and electric impeller drives. This was reported by the press service of the institute.

"Wing Console"

TsAGI has developed a "Wing Console" stand based on a full-scale wing console of a civil aircraft. It is designed to determine the effectiveness of increasing the bearing properties of a mechanized wing. The tests were carried out in TsAGI's large aerodynamic wind tunnel T-101 at flow velocities up to 30 meters per second.

The purpose of the tests is to obtain and subsequently compare the integral aerodynamic characteristics of the wing console in the configuration with standard and experimental flaps.
TsAGI Press Service

Experts want to compare the integral aerodynamic characteristics of the wing console in the configuration with standard and experimental flaps. As a result, they hope to increase lift and improve the wing's bearing properties. After the tests, the experimental flap will be installed on a flying laboratory based on the Yak-40 aircraft.
