The "Patriot" catalytic heater was created in Astrakhan

The device supports the operation of UAV batteries and other equipment in external conditions

The "Patriot" heater for use in low-temperature conditions has been developed at Astrakhan State University named after V. N. Tatishchev. This was reported by the press service of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform.

The portable cylindrical heater has no analogues in Russia or abroad. It is based on a catalytic element of domestic design. It has an increased service life.

"Patriot" can also be used in the operation of special equipment in extreme conditions, for example, to maintain the operability of specific equipment, batteries for UAV control devices.

The heater is expected to be able to operate for 1 thousand cycles. The planned cost when entering mass production is 2-3 thousand rubles.

There is a need for such devices, they can be mass-produced and, depending on the modification, used for both specific and utilitarian purposes - hunting, fishing, extreme sports.

The developers have already created several experimental heater samples. They have been successfully tested.

Earlier www1.ru reported that a new complex for monitoring weather and ice in the Arctic has been tested.
