New Russian communication satellite "Express-AMU4" received "filling" from Reshetnev employees

All onboard instruments and service systems of the satellite are based on domestic components

The spacecraft is being created by satellite builders for the planned renewal of the Russian orbital telecommunications group."Express-AMU4" was designed by them on the basis of "Express-1000N", it is planned to be launched in 2026. It will provide communication and broadcasting over America, Europe, part of Africa and the Middle East for at least 15 years.

"Express-AMU4" is positioned as a completely domestic import-independent satellite. Now in Zheleznogorsk they have started assembling a set of onboard equipment for it.

As a result of the development, the specialists of JSC "RESHETNEV" managed to reduce the weight and dimensions of the energy converting complex, as well as the components of the onboard control complex, compared to the original studies. Optimization was achieved through the use of domestic components, as well as more advanced software, on the basis of which part of the functions of the hardware component of electronic units will be implemented.
